Import Operations Assistant Manager

The Vacancy
Seafast are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Import Operations Assistant Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing all aspects of import operations, ensuring efficient and compliant processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Import Operations Manager in overseeing and managing all aspects of import operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth and timely import shipments.
- Monitor and track import shipments to ensure compliance with customs regulations and deadlines.
- Resolve import-related issues and problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Analyze import data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Develop and implement procedures and processes to improve import operations efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the logistics industry, with a focus on import operations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in pricing and cost analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPAFFS experience or knowledge of SPS controls.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to set timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
